Since the start of the year, the Humanities Department has been running a history club on a Wednesday after school – much to the delight of the mixture of Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils who attend on a regular basis! Pupils have been set the challenge of designing their own swords and shields, which we hope to start making before the Christmas holidays. However, they need to be reminded that these will be made out of cardboard – not metal!
We hope to recreate some of the major medieval battles when we return in the new year. The History Club pupils have been looking forward to this for a long time and have been fully committed to participating and contributing positively during sessions. History Club is open to any more pupils who are interested or just want to try something different! Come to Room 56 on Wednesday 3-4pm if you are interested in fun History activities.
