Feeding Britain's Future Workshop

Year 9 and 10 students enjoyed a two-hour workshop in the Careers Hub this week.

The workshop was hosted by a specialist facilitator, as part of a nationwide IDG education programme, Feeding Britain's Future, that informs and inspires young people about the world of work, helping to build their employability skills.

The students took part in discussions and activities; hearing first-hand advice from assisting industry professionals from a variety of companies in the food and grocery industry such as; Asda, Tesco, Greencore, Booker, Mondalez and Speedibake.

Students identified the transferable skills they develop at school and how these translate into employability skills for work and discovered a diverse range of roles in the food and grocery industry.
